1. Innovlab is now open

On Wednesday 16th December 2009, we opened the English-language version of Samsung Mobile Innovator Innovlab. This area originally opened in August 2009 in beta form. During this period, members over 70 projects in our Innovlab area that are now eagerly awaiting feedback from members like you. The Innovlab area is divided into Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Java and can be accessed here
The Chinese-language version is currently in beta testing and can be accessed here

2. Samsung Windows Mobile SDK 2.1 now available

On Monday 14th December 2009, Samsung Mobile Innovator released the latest version of the Samsung Windows Mobile SDK, 2.1. This latest release includes support for the Samsung Omnia II i920, enabling developers to utilize the advanced features of the phone such as the Accelerometer, 3D Orientation (Compass), Haptic feedback and the Vibration API. The SDK supports the following Windows Mobile 6.5 devices:

·         Omnia II (i920)

·         Jack 6.5 (i637)

·         Omnia Pro (B7610)

3. Samsung unveils new smartphone platform "bada" to the world

On Tuesday 8th December 2009 we launched our new smartphone platform, Samsung bada. At an unveiling in London UK, Samsung showcased the bada SDK (Software Development Kit) for partners and presented the unique benefits and unprecedented opportunities that the bada platform will bring to developers, mobile operators and, consumers.

4. Our Indian Core members meet

On Friday 13th November 2009 we hosted an exclusive meet up for our Indian-based Core members. This event was attended by some of India’s premium application development companies. This was the first such meet up Samsung Mobile Innovator has conducted in India, and attendees were given an exclusive preview of Samsung’s Application Store strategy and an overview of Samsung bada. These were conducted by Mr. Amy Purushotham, Vice President & Head of Strategy at Samsung India.

5. Developer days for Windows Mobile kick off at Chelsea

On Tuesday 2nd November 2009 Samsung Application Store hosted a developer day at Chelsea Football Club aimed at showing the opportunities to build and port apps for the Omnia II device and sell them through Samsung Application Store. This store currently has both a web presence and an on-device client. In addition to some short Samsung presentations, there were also plenty of opportunities for developers to ask questions and network with other Windows Mobile professionals
